Any Linux endpoint running the DistroDrift agent counts as one machine. Virtual machines, containers with systemd, bare metal servers, Raspberry Pis — if it runs the agent, it's a machine. Only approved, non-deleted machines count against a plan limit.
Yes. Starter is $0/month for up to 5 approved machines and requires no credit card. It includes the core DistroDrift features for evaluation and small environments.
You can move from Starter to Pro or Business from the billing page. Paid plan changes use the configured monthly Stripe Price ID and keep your tenant data and pending machines in place.
Yes. You can move between Starter, Pro, and Business as your fleet changes. Enterprise is managed through support rather than self-service checkout.
Agents can still register while a tenant is at capacity, but new machines remain pending. Approval and restore actions check the approved, non-deleted count. Existing approved machines are not deleted.
No. Starter is free and does not require a payment method. A payment method is required only when you choose Pro or Business.
